228 Beautiful Wood/Iron Theater Seats For Sale

I ran into this item on eBay, thought it might be of interest to someone here who may be restoring a theater or in need of a couple hundred seats. From the pictures I assume they’re antique. The link and description are below. Seems like a very low price, $2800 for all 228 chairs.
Church Pews/Theatre Seats – Consisting of 28 Rows with 8 seats in each row for a total of 224 seats – each row is 14'3" – Seats come apart if you desire shorter or longer rows. Price per seat is $12.50 each and the Church will sell only as an entire lot. Removing and shipping is the responsiblity of purchaser. While I’m not in the market for theatre seats (I already have a dozen from San Francisco’s Harding Theatre in storage waiting for when my wife and I build our home theatre), you may be interested to know that the end standard design seen here was known as the Wheat motif, owing to the stylized art deco pattern’s resemblance to an inverted piece of wheat. Check out an old “wheat” penny and you’ll see a similar stylization of wheat. Two theatres which come to mind which have this style of aisle/end standard are San Francisco’s Castro, and San Rafael’s Rafael.
Here are some more really cheap ones (730 of them) from the 1960’s, taken from the Englert Theater, Iowa City Iowa currently being renovated. Not as classic but still neat and starting bid is only a penny. Wow! I didn’t realize there were such deals on theatre seats on eBay.

They’re indeed beautiful, but are they really comfy? Would you want to see a nice 180+ minute movie in those? Okay, that’s what Intermissions are for, but still..
Wish I had found this site earlier.
I purchased 80 seat ends still goldleafed under some ugly latex. Had to locate backs and seat cushions to complete them, took forever(they are early 1900’s). Was well worth it.
The end designs are a lions head motive, cast iron I believe.
So, I used 20 for my personal theatre. They’re awesome.
