Raymond Theatre Update – Donations Still Needed

PASADENA, CA — The following email was sent in by Gina Zamparelli, President, Friends of the Raymond Theatre:
“Dear Friends of the Raymond Theatre:
Our final day for donations is July 30th. We have made great strides over the past week, but we still have $1,405 more to raise. Therefore we will continue to take donations till 5pm on Monday, August 2.
If all you can donate is $5 or $10, every dollar WILL make a difference. If you can donate $15, $25, $50, $100 or more, it would help us make great strides towards meeting our fundraising goals before Monday!
Early next week we will let everyone know if we have raised enough money to continue our efforts to legally protect the Raymond Theatre.
MUSICIAN JACKSON BROWNE DONATES:
We received a very generous donation from the musician Jackson Browne. Jackson Browne played the Raymond Theatre in the 1990’s. He donated $1,000 to Friends of the Raymond Theatre from his US spring tour. Thank you Jackson Brown for your donation (www.jacksonbrowne.com). A very special thanks to the Guacamole Fund (guacfund.org).
MATCHING DONATIONS:
The donation from Jackson Browne will match donations from Pasadena residents, Raymond Dashner, Barbara Dahn and preservation organization Hollywood Heritage. This means we met BOTH matching donation goals, which gives us $800 towards our preservation fund! Thank you again Raymond Dashner, Barbara Dahn and Hollywood Heritage!
