Cinema Treasures Hits 5000 Theaters!
Over the weekend, Cinema Treasures’s Theater Guide officially passed the 5000 theater mark!
With help from thousands of theater fans around the world, it has taken us just over three years to reach this amazing milestone. In fact, the day that we launched the site — with just 100 theaters — seems like eons ago.
Some interesting stats about the guide:
• 5086 theaters
• 189 theater chains
• 64 functions
• 29 styles
• 165 architects
• 64 architectural firms
• 768 theater links
• 1620 photos
Of course, there is so much more work ahead, as there are many, many more theaters to add and new features to bring online (photo system, message board, etc.), but we’re both tremendously excited at how large and comprehensive this website has become.
Special thanks to our illustrious theater editor Bryan Krefft and all of our current and former volunteers, as well as everyone who has ever made a contribution to Cinema Treasures!
Sincerely,
Patrick Crowley and Ross Melnick

Great work on the site! It is a great resource because I want to own and operate my own “Cinema Treasure” in the future!

This is absolutely a super site. It is a resource for many many folks, and a terrific recreation for me. I promise to continue sharing memories as they pop out of my aging head. My personal congratulations to Patrick, Ross, and everyone who plays a part in it. Looking toward number 10,000!!!
Thanks everyone. We just hit 5,100 tonight (3/15) so we’re on our way. :)
Thanks again for all of your warm wishes and to everyone who has made Cinema Treasures an invaluable online resource.
I must add my Congratulations also, since CT has become one of the most well known resources on the web and a pleasure for me to add some 20 theatres to. I must also comment upon the very gentlemanly team of Messrs. Crowley and Melnick; they are a pleasure to work with, and I am sure that they will continue to improve this resource in the years to come. Who really knows how many theatres that they have unwittingly contributed to through the means of this site? Who will ever know how many theatres will be able to trace their rebirth back to this site and those who use it? Bravo, gentlemen
Many thanks to all of you knowledgeable and industrious staff members. I’ve been able, through this site, to learn so much about this fascinating subject we all love but also to share some of my own gleanings. One of the best sites ever, and I am now fully addicted. May require therapy.
