FT. WAYNE, IN — According to the Journal Gazette, local filmmakers Richard Yates and Rodney Pasko shot a horror film last year at the now-razed Holiday 1 & 2 movie theater at the Northcrest Shopping Plaza in Ft. Wayne.

The film, “The Spell of 13”, concerns three men who take refuge from a storm in an abandoned movie house and soon find that something has been waiting for them there. The movie, shot on a budget of $7000, was shot on digital video and will debut tonight at the Northwood Cinema Grill.

The film is an homage to the zombie and slasher films of the late 70s and early 80s. Pasko says that not all the scariness at the old Holiday 1 & 2 was their doing. “We were hearing noises…There were nights we couldn’t film. We were too creeped out.”

Was regretfully out of town and did not see the debut. Was wondering what others thought of this movie.
