Villa Theatre Sale Delayed

The ongoing sale of the Villa Theatre in Salt Lake City, Utah has apparently gone past its ending date, but Harmons is still working with the prospective buyer. The buyer plans to develop the property with the Villa as the center of an “entertainment center” with shops and restaurants. The Villa would be either a night club and/or dinner theater.
Dama Barbour, the Harmons vice-president of real estate, cast doubt on reports of Harmons selling the theater to a furniture manufacturer (the most recent rumor). Brad Arrington, who represents a group that wanted to “restore the Villa to its Cinerama days,” said he has contacted Harmons about the Villa but they would not talk with him.
