This was terribly sad that the fire completely destroyed the theater. It was a beautiful single screen theater nearly 100 years old. How awful to lose this wonderful single screen movie house. What is the cause of the fire ever determined
The article should probably note that although the Roseway has now been demolished, the neon sign was salvaged and is planned to be displayed at the National Neon Sign Museum at The Dalles, Oregon.
The five stained glass window displays also survived, although one was stolen soon after the fire. One, displaying the theater’s logo, will also go to the Neon Sign Museum, while the others have been donated to the nearby Hollywood Theatre for display.

The theater closed after a fire on August 6, 2022. Demolition began in November 2022.

The remodeled Roseway Theater projects digitally. It’s one of the better digital theaters – and a good choice for 3D movies, but there’s no chance of a film showing here.
It was a JESSE JONES THEATRE in 1956 owned by Jesse E.Jones in Portland.
The theater has 330 seats since its remodel.
Looks like the “Roseway” was restored to the orighnal neon instead of the plastic one in other photos. Smooth reader board instead on the corrigated one. Nice to see the restorations. This was always a favorite theater of mine when I lived in Portland. They had a very wide screen that originally could handle the old scope 2.55:1.
