The Roseland Theatre opened in 1921 as a single screen. It was later remodeled and converted to a twin by B & B Theatres and known as the Flat River Movies 2. It was given another face lift in the late-1970’s and it was operated by Kerasotes Theatres. The theatre showed first run attractions on both screens. It was closed on November 28, 2010. Original name: Roseland. I believe a photo of the theatre before its modernization can be seen in the present lobby.

As of right now, my church, The River Worship Centre, is in the process of restoring this building! Unfortunately, we will not be able to run the original 35mm projectors, but will be using the building as a community center as well as our church. We are building a stage in front of the screen and will support dramas, plays, weddings, etc. Also, our pastor, D.J. Edwards, is a master magician, and will use the stage to hold his performances as well. We are very excited to re-open this building after 6 years of sitting vacant!
Opened in 1921.
