Operated by the Palmer Family and open 364 days a year (not Christmas). The Palmers added the indoor cinema in 1972. Its concession stand also services the Drive-In.
Boxoffice, Nov. 18, 1950: “GATESVILLE, TEX. - The Circle-S Drive-In, 350-car situation, has been opened here by the Skelton brothers, owners of four theatres here. Work on the airer located on Highway 36, began in August.”
The Marquee that is used by this Drive In was originally used for the Tem-Bel Drive In Theatre, located in Temple Texas.. As seen here —> http://www.drive-ins.com/pictures/txtbeld002.jpg ..
