This is Missouri’s largest drive-in with four big screens showing double features on each and an overall capacity of 1,200 cars. It opened as a single screen on July 22, 1964 with Frank Sinatra in “Robin and the 7 Hoods”, Don Knotts in “The Incredible Mr. Limpet” & Anthony Perkins in “Tall Story”. Screens 2, 3 & 4 opened on March 29, 1991.
Their neon marquee is a scaled down replica of the famous St. Louis Gateway Arch and is one of the great drive-in marquees.
Management there has a good thing going and despite the expansion, makes an effort to remember the small things that help to inject and maintain the nostalgic flavor ranging from screening classic intermission trailers to playing vintage field tunes. They still have traditional speakers as an option to audio provided by FM broadcast. It was closed by B & B Theatres in 2018.
