Originally built and operated by Litchfield Cinemas. They later sold the only two Ohio locations to UA.
Now operated by Republic Theatres, this venue’s name has changed to Cinema 10 Middletown
Three years after Covid , the theatre since returning back to normal operations only uses eight or nine of their ten screens.
Republic Theaters announced that February 29, 2024 would be Cinema 10 Middletown’s last day due to losing money from its relaunch in 2021 into 2024.
Franklin, OH: Republic Theatres - Cinema 10 Middletown Closed [Mar 6, 2024]
The above listing is wrong . Republic took over the Middletown Cinemas way back around 2015 or 2017. NOT 2021! Danbarry last theatres closed in March 2020. Those were Chillicothe, Huber Heights and Miami Township. Those were closed officially due to the pandemic, however they were all set to close in late 2020, pandemic just pushed up the date.
Republic Middletown did so poorly they only used 6-8 or the screens on any given weekend.
