The Stonewall Theatre was opened in 1905. It was later renamed Masonic Theatre and was the oldest operating theatre in Virginia until it closed in 1987. It is now operated by the town of Clifton Forge.
Lash LaRue rode his horse down the aisle; Roy Rogers had Trigger on the stage. It is a three story brick building with pilastered facade, cove ceiling lobby and unaltered performance hall with stage and balcony. Live shows are now appearing in the theatre. Restoration of the building was completed in 2009.

This article does not mention the original Stonewall Theatre name, and refers to a previous name as the Mason Hall and Opera House.

The 1992 NRHP listing has a photo with the theater bearing the Stonewall name, but that name came much later. It was definitely built for the Masons. The third floor was intended for their use.
When the theater was built, the basement was a furniture warehouse. When I visited in 2012, the entire street in front had been torn out, and you could see the windows in the front. I assume there were plentiful sidewalk lights at one point.
