This attractive little theater originally opened May 19, 1927 with Henry Victor in “The Fourth Commandment”. It’s a cream colored building with a red marquee and small red stars on the facade. The vertical sign says ‘Lantex’, but the Yahoo listing said ‘Lan-Tex’ which looks better even if it might not be right. The theater currently shows movies and hosts the Llano Opry.

They are open and showing both films and live plays.
Listed in the Film Daily Yearbook;1941 edition as the Lantex Theatre with 406 seats. In the 1943 edition of F.D.Y. the seating capacity had been reduced to 367. By the 1950 edition is is the Laantex Theatre (must be a typo) with the same 367 seats.
