Located in the Prenzlauer Berg district in the east of the city at the intersection of Prenzlauer Allee and Danziger Strasse. The Lichtspiele Prenzlauer Allee was opened in 1926. It was designed by architect Otto Werner in a Streamline Moderne style. The exterior looked impressive at night when it was outlined with neon. At opening the seating capacity was 976-seats, and this was increased to 1,050-seats in 1930 when it was named Elysium Filmpalast. It was destroyed by Allied bombs in 1942.

An apartment block with retail on the ground level has been built on this corner site.
