This small early theater was open by April, 1912. It was located in a two story brick building that may have been an enlargement of a one story millinery shown on the 1905 map.
The theater operated through 1914-15, when it is listed in the AMPD. It was sold to Home National Bank in December 1915. It was demolished in 1918 for the construction of the new Home National Bank, the building on the site today.

The December 18, 1915 issue of Moving Picture World said that “[t]he Lotus theater building at Arkansas City, Kan., has been sold to the Home National Bank.
