The Palace Theatre opened its doors in early-1923. It was taken over by Premiere Theatres in October 1937 following the original owner’s death, and closed for the final time on July 26, 1950, when Odeon Theatres opened the Roxy Theatre the following day. After closure, the building was sold and converted to a clothing store.
