Pier Pictures

Located in Redcliffe, to the north of Brisbane. The Pier Pictures was opened by 1943. By 1946 it was independenly operated by Mrs. E. Beedham. By 1951 it was operated by H. Sourris (one of the Sourris brothers who operated several local cinemas). By 1956 it was operated by J. Livingstone as Peninsula Theatres. The seating capacity was 1,290. By 1968 it was operated by T. Clelland, A. Baggio & R. Halliwell. The seating capacity had been reduced to 850-seats (possibly only using the balcony area?).

The building has been used for many years as Capitol Blue, a clothing and homeware store.
