Roxy Theatre

The Family Theatre operated as early as 1924 and was destroyed by a massive fire on August 22, 1941, alongside several neighboring businesses (including the neighboring “Doc’s Service” store, the Rinker’s Barber shop, the Ross Grocery store, the W.W. Downie insurance office, and the Lincoln County Drug Store). The Lincoln Hotel also suffered fire damage.

The theatre building was rebuilt and reopened as the 300-seat Roxy Theatre on December 14, 1941. It was still open in 1956, although its closing date remains unconfirmed at this time.
