Molou Theatre

The Molou Theatre opened its doors on August 2, 1941 with Don Ameche in “Down Argentine Way” (unknown if extras added). It was opened by the husband-and-wife team of Lou and Molly Consky, who both operated the theatre for more than five decades. Molly also offered the entire proceeds of the first night to the Red Cross British Bomb Victims' fund following the Blitz overseas.

The Molou Theatre closed in August 2010, and as of 2026, the Molou marquee sign still lights up the night sky.
