The Stuio Movy opened in 1936 in the Astridplein, adjacent to the Savoy Cinema (former Cine Kursaal )and Astrid Cinema. It operated as an arthouse cinema. The Movy was closed in 1964.

The cinema, together with the Savoy Cinema & Astrid Cinema were all demolished to build the Hotel Agora.
