Electric Theatre

This theater was located in a two story brick building constructed in 1907. That Sanborn shows the building with the shallower northern section to be a bank, and the deeper southern section as a storefront.

The theater was open in the southern section by no later than 1914-15, when it is listed in the AMPD. It is still operational on the 1918 map, apparently associated with a store of some sort. This theater had closed by 1926.

Sometime later, the bank expanded into the entire structure, and the building got a ghastly 1960’s(?) remodel. It now seems to be the local police station.
