Airdome

This theater appears on the 1912 Sanborn, replacing a small office on the 1905 map. It was a very odd arrangement, with the fenced area expanding behind neighboring buildings, but the screen toward the street and the projection booth at the rear of the lot.

This theater may have been the Garden Theater listed in the 1914-15 AMPD, if the 1920 opening date for the later Garden/Kaw is accurate. At any rate, this theater had vanished by the 1922 map. A small storefront appeared by 1935, which was later replaced by the current building, which appears to date to sometime around 1940-50.

The historical address was 404, but the numbers have shifted.
