The Virgin Cinemas Odawara opened its doors on December 20, 2002, and following the acquisition of Virgin Cinemas Japan by Toho, it was renamed TOHO Cinemas Odawara on February 28, 2004. It housed nine screens (including one Premier screen) and 1,781 seats alongside 19 wheelchairs (three in Screen 1 and two for the others).

Screen 1 is the largest with 499 seats alongside three wheelchairs featuring DTS, SRD-EX, SDDS, and THX installations. The Premier screen was the smallest with 75 seats with two wheelchairs with installations of DTS, SRD-EX, and THX. The rest of the auditoriums have ranging capacities of 122-255.
