The Cinema Taiyo Obihiro opened its doors on November 5, 2003, featuring five screens and 622 seats alongside six wheelchairs (two in Screen 1 and one each in the remaining auditoriums).

All screens contain installations of Dolby 7.1ch and BARCO laser 4k projection. Screen 1 is the largest with 236 seats, while Screen 3 is the smallest with 84 seats. Screens 2 and 5 housed 96 seats, and Screen 4 housed 104 seats.
