Victory Theatre

The All Star Cinema was built and opened in 2000 for a cost of 4.6 Million Dollars. The All Star Cinema was foreclosed by a bank for unpaid loans and shuttered in 2004. The Victory Church bought the All Star Cinema in 2006 for $4.3 million. It was renamed Victory Theatre and operated as a second-run theatre with 3 screen showing movies and the 4th screen used as a church. It only screened PG & G Rated movies. There was a Starbucks and a Christian book shop in the lobby of the theatre.

In December 2022 it was sold to the Way Arizona Group. In February 2025 they announced the theatre ‘For Sale’ for $3.4 million. The church wants to focus on their bowling alley and entertainment centers.

The Victory Theatre will close by the end of Summer 2025 if a new owner is not found. Hopefully Allen Theatres will take over the theatre.

The All Star Cinema opened in 2000 and was it closed in 2004. The Victory Church bought the All Cinema for 4.3 million in 2006. The theatre was renamed Victory Theatre and reopened as a second run theatre. Although all 4 auditoriums are fully intact only 3 are used as one is used for church services with band equipment and other items in front of the screen. In 2016 the church spent over $400,000 to add digital projectors with 3D. Also in 2016 after installing the new projectors a new first run policy was started. Although only being 2.1 miles from the Sapphire/Stargazer 5.The original owners of All Star Cinema had to share movies with Sapphire and usually All Star would miss out on the biggest hits. That is All Star Cinema couldn’t pay back bank loans and was foreclosed on just 4 years in and forced to close. Now Victory Theatre could plat day and date with Sapphire/Stargazer. However because Victory only wants to use 3 or 4 screens and that being a church play no R movies and are selective as to PG-13 movies.
The Victory Theatre also had a Starbucks and a Christian book store located inside the lobby.

In December 2022 the theatre was sold to a church entertainment management group called the Way Arizona. Following the purchase in January 2023 the marquee was covered were the movie titles are located with steel plates and the Victory Theatre name was replaced with The Way Arizona, although the theatre is still called Victory Theatre the new owners removed the theatre’s name and any mention that it is a movie theatre. The Way Arizona also removed the Starbucks and Christian book store, both replaced by a kiddie play area. And just two years later the Way Arizona has put the Victory Theatre up for sale for $3.4 million in February 2025. The Way Arizona church does this, they buy businesses, get what they can out of it as fast a possible and then flip it. They want to turn key the theatre to a new owner, but have a deadline of end of summer 2025 or will close it.
