The Safford Drive-In was opened in September 1949 with a car capacity listed at that time of 325 cars. It was owned by Jones Theatres and later by Long Theatres.
The drive-in was closed in the mid-1980’s and has since been demolished.

From the Oct. 1, 1949 issue of BoxOffice: “SAFFORD, ARIZ. – Don Dillon and Clifton Ratcliff have opened a new drive-in here. Capacity is 400 cars.”
