The Family Drive-In opened its doors by owner Charles Bolles on July 20, 1955 with Tony Curtis in “So This Is Paris” and the CinemaScope short “A Day Aboard The Jet Carrier” along with an unnamed cartoon. It was renamed the Starlite Drive-In at the start of the 1958 season.

The Starlite Drive-In closed for the final time at the end of the 1971 season on September 26, 1971, and was last managed by Hillis Pardue. However, despite being demolished shortly after closure, you can barely see several marks that resembles the former drive-in’s traces.
