The Pastime Theatre, located across from the Arcata Plaza, was said to be operated by Bert Pettengill before he opened the Minor Theatre.
The Pastime Theatre was listed in American Motion Picture Directory 1914-1915 as located on 8th Street between G and H Street with Sanborn Maps 1908 mapping it as a Hall with the entrance on 8th Street.
On July 16, 1921, the Blue Lakes Advocate reported the old Pastime Theatre was being transformed into a garage and machine shop. Sanborn Maps 1941 lists it at 701 8th Street ‘Gas & Oil’.
