The New Theatre was opened by 1939. It was still operating in 1957. It was later renamed the Oak Theatre (possibly a short time afterward). The Oak Theatre was also once operated by the Jones & Busby Theatres chain during its operation. However I can partially confirm that its located somewhere on one of the two Front Streets.

Its likely that the New Theatre name probably didn’t last long. It may’ve renamed the Oak Theatre shortly after opening.
