In Leven, Fife, it is not known when the Town Hall was built but, in January 1912, it opened as the Picturedrome.

The proprietor was J. Roden. In 1928 it was renamed the Pavilion Cinema, and then owned by Fifeshire Cinema Company (though J. Roden was the booking manager).

The Pavilion Cinema closed around 1930. Fifeshire Cinema Company had opened the Regent Cinema in the town in 1922 (see separate Cinema Treasures entry) and presumably the company decided against the expenditure required to wire the Pavilion Cinema for sound.

The building initially went into a variety of uses, as a meeting hall and theatre, but was then a full-time dance hall from around 1950.

The building was demolished in either 1973 or 1975 (sources vary). South Street/Viewforth car park stands on the site.
