The 350-seat Campus Hills Twin first opened its doors by JF Theatres on June 27, 1973 with Julie Andrews in “The Sound of Music” & “Lee Marvin in "Emperor of the North”. The theatre had parking space for 2,000-cars. By July 31, 1987 it had expanded to 7-screens. It was taken over by Loews in October 1988 as part of its merger.
Despite its brief Sony takeover in 1994, the Campus Hills 7 operated as a Loews theater throughout most its history. It was closed on March 2, 2000 but has since reopened.
