Theater

This theater appears on the 1916 Sanborn. It was located on the second floor of an attractive brick commercial building which appears to have been built in the early-1900’s. The theater shared the second floor with a skating rink.

On the 1933 map, this theater is closed, although a public hall is shown here. An Earl Theater was operating from 1941, and given the capacity of 200, it may have been located here, although second-floor houses were out of favor with the public and fire codes.

The building today is in very good shape, and appears to be used as apartments, including the storefronts on the first floor.
