Discount Movies 4

The Movies At Raintree Plaza opened its doors on May 19, 1978 with the following in screen order: “House Calls”, “The Other Side Of The Mountain Part 2”, “Saturday Night Fever”, and “High Anxiety”. It was later operated by Kerasotes who operated the theater for most of its history.

In September 1999, the Movies 4 flipped formats from first-run to second-run discount, due to the then-upcoming opening of the Showplace 12 nearby. The theater was renamed the Discount Movies 4, but this did not last long. Exactly 10 days after the Showplace 12’s opening, both the Movies 4 and the North Park Mall Cinemas closed for the final time on November 15, 1999.

The Raintree Plaza was demolished in 2020.
