Star Theatre

This theatre appears on the 1911 Sanborn, on the ground floor of a 3-story brick commercial building. The building was one of the oldest on the block, dating to before 1886. The 1905 map shows a grocery here.

Likely a simple storefront conversion, by 1914 it was operating as the Star Theatre. This was too close to far superior facilities to survive, and the 1925 map shows a store here. No later maps are available, but this building was replaced by a depressing one story office perhaps around 1970.
