Beecher’s Cherry Theatre opened in the 1910’s in the East Hills neighborhood of Grand Rapids. The silent-era theater appears to have originally been built into a converted livery. Beecher additionally operated the Madison, Franklin, Liberty, and Alcazar at that time. It additionally houses Sunday church services housing a displace neighborhood house of worship following a fire. It becomes the Biltmore Theater in 1920.

Augustine Olmstead takes on the venue apparently transitioning it to sound. But the Biltmore Theater disappears after the March 5, 1930 double feature of Belle Baker in “Song of Love” and Myrna Loy in “Hardboiled Rose”. The property becomes a garage and then a retail appliance store in the 1950’s.

Previous name was Beecher’s Cherry Theatre. Was demolished.
