Located in the Kreuzberg district in the east of the city centre. The Europa-Hause was a large office building designed in 1923 by architect Bruno Paul. In 1932 the Emelka-Palast cinema was built within the building. It had 1,926-seats in orchestra and balcony levels and was designed by architects Schmuckler, Heilmann & Fritsche. In later years it was renamed Phoebus Palast.
The Phoebus Palast was closed in 1959 and the Europa-Haus continues as office space with some retail use on the ground floor. There is no evidence that a large cinema was once inside the building.
