The Capitol Theatre is first mentioned in the newspapers as being leased to W. S. Butterfield (of Michigan). It closed in 1951 and reopened on May 11, 1955, as the Little Cinema showing arthouse films, the first being the British comedy “Doctor in the House” starring Dirk Bogarde. Closed in 1961.
