The 8-screen Cathay Cineplex AMK Hub opened its doors on 16th June 2007 with the gala premiere of Hong Kong-Taiwanese actress Shu Qi’s latest movie, “My Wife is a Gangster 3”.
In November 2017, all of Cathay Organization’s cinema operations, including this theatre, were sold to MM2 Asia, which continued to operate under its present name. The cinema foyer was then subsequently refreshed with a new look in 2019. It was closed on 1st July 2024 due to the lease expiring.
