The Orpheum Theatre was opened November 29, 1909 in a newly constructed two-story brick building. It was originally owned by E.H. Martin, and operated by his son Fred Martin, who owned the Unique Theatre.
As this was intended to offer mainly vaudeville and other live acts, a large stage was provided. There was a balcony, with the projection booth located in the center. A private electric plant powered both this theatre and the Unique Theatre.
The Orpheum Theatre operated until September 1916, when it moved next door, into a much larger space (it has its own page on Cinema Treasures as the Webster Theatre). This space was then used as retail.
The building today is in good shape with a storefront that appears to be from around 1950-60. It seems to be vacant in 2024.

There was a fairly serious fire in the vacant building on Nov. 29, 2023. Structure looks okay-ish, but it’s unclear what will happen to it.
Closed in September 1916 when the theater moved next door.
