The 1935 Sanborn shows a theater operating in the Scar & Nelson building, an attractive 2-story brick commercial building constructed in 1891. The 1923 map shows this space as a store.
The Irving Theatre had opened by 1929. It seems to have replaced an older theater in the Opera House Block. It was still open in 1941, but had closed by 1943.
The building had gone rather to seed, but the most recent streetview shows it in good shape, and used by a bar.
