This is taken on March 23, 1938 during a run of Edward G. Robinson’s “A Slight Case Of Murder”. The Walt Disney’s Silly Symphony cartoon “The Old Mill” (shown here) alongside a short on Carl Hoff and his Orchestra are presented as their short subjects.
“Merrily We Live” (also shown here) is the next attraction that started the next day on March 24, alongside the controversial Merrie Melodies cartoon “Jungle Jitters”, the Pete Smith Specialty “Decathlon Champions”, and a newsreel.
