Mr. and Mrs. W.M. Obrecht opened Rolfe’s Ritz Theatre on November 24, 1929 with Joe E. Brown in “On With The Show” (unclear if any short subjects were added), featuring installations of a Vitaphone system. The Ritz Theatre replaced the Scenic Theatre which closed a few weeks prior.

Throughout much of the late-1950'’s and into the mid-1960s, the Ritz Theatre was nearly dying when it received multiple closures and reopenings.

The Ritz Theatre held on its operation a little longer until closure in 1971.

Almost certainly on Garfield St. This has been demolished. Downtown is an ugly collection of metal sheds and empty lots. Was once two solid blocks of fine one and two story brick buildings.
