The 109 Cinemas Premium Shinjuku opened its doors on April 14, 2023 with eight screens and a capacity of 752 seats, and was located on the former site of the Shinjuku Tokyo Milano (later Shinjuku Milano 1-3 + Cinema Square) which opened on December 1, 1956 and closed on December 31, 2014.
One of the auditoriums was named after the former Shinjuku Tokyo Milano. One other auditorium has the installations of ScreenX, and all eight auditoriums featured the installations of Ryuichi sound.
