Palace Cinema

Set in the picturesque Ribble Valley in Lancashire, the Palace & Picturedrome was originally a weaving shed and opened as the music hall in the late-1800’s with seating for 800. When cinema use came in the early-1900’s, the name Picturedrome was added to the name. Other uses have been a roller skating rink, a cinema (again), then bingo hall which closed in July 1992.

It re-opened as the Palace Cinema on 29th July 2000, as a refurbished cinema and theatre, but it closed again in 2003.

Re-opened again, the emphasis is very much on the traditional ‘night at the movies’ - Wurlitzer organ music, ice cream brought to you in your seat at the intermission. Very clean , comfortable and friendly environment. 35mm Projection - Two Westrex Westar projectors (both xenon) with Westrex tower film transport.

It was closed for five months for refurbishment, reopening on 17th May 2018.
