The front of the Longreach Hotel was retained to be used as the entrance to the new cinema. It was operated by T.J. West and joined his West’s Ltd. cinema chain. Seating was provided for 1,500-seats in the orchestra and 435-seats in the balcony. The cinema had a sliding roof for ventilation. It was closed in early-1923.

It was leased to the Barnes Auto Company. It was demolished in 1950 and the Prudential Bank and office building was built on the site. It too has since been demolished.
