Winger Hall

Located in the small community of Winger, MN. In the early days citizens had to travel to nearby towns to see movies. Then in the summer months of the early-1930’s along came a traveling projectionist who would come to town and set up a screen, curb to curb the width of Main Street, and with his portable projector he would present movies. Citizens brought along their own chairs and blankets.

By 1937 the Winger Hall was being used as a movie theatre. It was listed as (Closed) in the 1939-1943 editions of Film Daily Yearbook and had gone from listings by 1950.
