The 1908 map shows a ‘5¢ Theater’ in the northern section of the Goddard Hotel, a large three story brick building from 1907, that once occupied much of this oddly shaped block.
The little nickelodeon was not successful, and the 1915 map shows a saloon there. The hotel was vacant for nearly 20 years before being demolished in 2007.
