Located at the corner of Victoria Lane and Collingwood Street, in Coundon, County Durham, to the east of Bishop Auckland. The Eden Pavilion Cinema was opened on 19th December 1912. It had an 18ft deep stage and two dressing rooms. By 1914 it was operated by Black’s Theatres. It was soon taken over by a Mr. J. Dunston. In 1930 it was equipped with an AWH sound system and it was taken over by Norman Thompson who teamed up with Carter Crowe and formed C & T Cinemas.

Equipped in the mid-1950’s with CinemaScope the proscenium was 24ft wide. By the late-1950’s it was operated by J.D. Gordon and from the early-1960’s, bingo was played on weekends. In 1978, severe gales blew the roof off the building and it was closed, never to reopen.

By 2022 a medical centre GP practice named The Eden Centre operates from the site.
