Opened on March 29, 1948. Despite the 1982 aerial view showing the drive-in with everything, a 1984 topo does not show the drive-in being listed, meaning that this has to be closed sometime in the early-1980s. As mentioned above, it was already gone by the early-1990s as Weis was built at the site.
Unlike most drive-ins, the Starlite is one of a few drive-ins that allows people to store airplanes on the drive-in property. The nearby Skyhaven Airport used a small portion of the Starlite to store aircraft.
This was located at the present address of 600 Hunter Hwy, Tunkhannock, PA 18657. Its in aerial photos up to 1982, by 1992 a shopping mall was built on the site and still exists there today.
