Appears on the Dec. 1913 map. The Nov. 1908 map has the YMCA here. A lodge hall appears on the second floor on the 1913 map, but is gone on the 1923 map. The building dates to 1891.
It was still open in 1923. I merely mentioned the lodge hall to show that it may have been expanded by that point. That map also shows a stage.
The Majestic Electric Theatre was opened by the F.B. Mytinger Amusement Company on February 9, 1907 with one reel movies and songs between to facilitate threading up the next film. In 1910, “Electric” was gone with the Majestic Theatre nameplate holding until its final showing on November 24, 1915. Some of the fixtures were so unusual that they were moved to the commonly-owned Unique Theatre. The building was used for other retail purposes the next month.
