Crescent Theatre, 1943, Dade City, FL

The Crescent Theater opened in 1926 as a venue for silent films, musicals and vaudeville. By 1950 it was operated by Floyd Theaters. It was closed before the 1960’s. There were plans to convert the theater into a mixed use senior center and civic center, but these fell through and the building was demolished in 2003. A new senior center was constructed on the site.

lostmemory…No addresses given in any of the F.D.Y.B. I have. Seating is still given as 550 in 1943 but it has risen to 600 in the 1950 edition!
